Instruments Families I - Wind instruments

Here is a simple outline of the family of wind instruments.

As you already know, the wind family is divided into two: wood wind and brass. The main difference between them is that in woodwind instruments you have to blow into a bevel mouthpiece and cover the holes with your fingers or keys; whereas in brass instruments you have to use vibration into a metal mouthpiece and you use slides, valves and crooks.
